Aleszu Bajak is the director of data visualization at the Urban Institute. Previously, he was a senior data reporter on USA TODAY’s data team, part of the newspaper’s national investigative unit. He is a former Knight Science Journalism Fellow at M.I.T., was a founding senior writer at Undark magazine and founding editor of Esquire Classic, a project resuscitating the magazine’s archives. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, M.I.T. Technology Review and Nature.

Fuzz Hogan formerly managed the editorial and production units, including oversight of our editorial efforts, our multimedia production, our website, and social media. In that role, he was responsible for how we inform and engage audiences in D.C. and beyond, overseeing how New America creates and curates widely syndicated content to support the policy goals of the programs, to support the New America brand as a civic enterprise with “journalism in its DNA.” Hogan was a member of the Leadership Team.

Stefan Byrd-Krueger’s journey to professional nirvana began with his passion for the arts as a sculptural welder, developed through his university training in policy analysis and years of experience in grassroots education and advocacy among think tanks, then blossomed as he took his love of elegant design and organizational excellence into the private sector as a digital marketing consultant. This blend of creative process, recognition of the human element of organizational success, and love of the technical discipline defines his working style.

Nate’s focus at ParsonsTKO is looking out and understanding what is next in the digital space. Nate has led large-scale strategic and technical efforts for groups such as UN OCHA, Turner Broadcasting, Ann Taylor, the US Senate, the US House of Representatives, Georgia.gov, Twitter, Thomson Reuters, and the Associated Press. He’s very adept at facilitating group meetings, reading tea-leaves, and helping forge strong consensus plans across diverse stakeholders. He was a programmer for 10 years before answering the siren song of experience design and uses a cross-functional lens to examine each strategy of process.
